Name and colloquial name[edit]

When I was a child in both Oswestry and Morda in the 1940s and 50s people would have wondered if you were joking if you you had referred to what was known only as Morda Brook as the River Morda. I'm aware that the Ordnance Survey labelled it River Morda but that doesn't make it so! And what do local people call it today? The 'real' name of something is what real people call it. At the least there should be some recognition in this article of how ordinary people refer to it. 84.13.176.127 (talk) 09:48, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
