Article purpose[edit]

Is this article now intended to be a list or a disambiguation page? -- de Facto (talk). 12:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to Road protest (UK) to see discussion about splitting off a list of current protests from the article that is emerging out of the one you recently started using this title. As for a historical list could this not be handled by the Category for 'Anti-Road Protest'? or could it be part of the 'list of current road schemes protests' that is likely to spin out soon. I am intending that this 'list' article has a brief description of the issues, activities and outcome and so could be a container for protests that don't merit a full article? N3 road v M3 motorway edit war[edit]

Isn't the nub of the matter that the Irish government wants to replace the N3 with a motorway (which will take a different route nearer Tara). When/if the M3 is built, the N3 will stil exist (though I suppose it might be renamed the R300 or something). But fundamentally, the protest is about the M3, there is no protest about the N3. So I'd support the view that this article should say "M3 (Ireland)" even if for now it redirects [to a section of] N3. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 14:29, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
