Farris or Farriss[edit]

In most references online about him, his middle name is written with one "s" - Farris, but on his grave at Mount Auburn Cemetery, it says "Farriss," and there is at least one other person on that family plot with the same middle name, also spelled "Farriss."

Also, the official site of the Minnesota Law Library has him starting in 1861, not 1860.
