Quick fail, I'm afraid. The article as it stands comes nowhere near meeting GA Criterion 2. Too many paragraphs contain no citations at all, and others have uncited statements and sentences alongside cited material. I am also concerned about the link to the pdf of the Times obituary, which looks me like a clear breach of copyright. The structure and balance of the article look good to me, and could well form the basis of a revision to meet WP's standards for verifiability. Tim riley talk 18:57, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Tim riley talk Very sorry that this has taken so long to respond to. I see from your page that you are taking a break from WP and I wish you all the best. In the meantime, I have worked diligently on your comments. Nearly every line is now cited, and those that are not clearly do not require citations. I have also removed the link to the pdf of the Times obituary. In addition, I have expanded the article significantly on the basis of a new source that became available recently. I have also included relevant photographs. For these reasons, I will renominate it for GA and thank you for providing the original review. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 16:19, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
