Oliver?

There are two references in the text to someone named "Oliver," but no explanation of who he actually is. (I suspect they're remnants from a prior edit.) Perhaps they could be either clarified or removed? Just a thought. —Robotech_Master (talk) 04:39, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Council on Foreign Relations reference

The 16th reference simply says "William F. Buckley Jr was a member of the Council of FOreign Relations" without any real relation to the body of the article. Furthermore, a link is provided to youthmeetstruth.com, which is not an active website. I am taking down this reference since it is either poorly done or purposely misleading about Buckley's affiliations.--Ishmael N. Name usage and The Politician

I fixed name usage throughout the article. I'm kind of new to Wikipedia, but I've not seen any articles that used a person's first name throughout (I looked around specifically for this).

Further, I removed the section which needed a citation for 3 years. The reality is that the book was published and republished by him for decades, and I think the JBS released another edition since. Seeing how he ran the place, I doubt he would have done that if he wanted distance. FOIA requests have unearthed some letters Robert Welch wrote talking about anti-Zionism and the Origin of Communism:

TO: Mr. Verne P. Kaub (President, American Council of Christian Laymen) FROM: Robert Welch April 4, 1962

• "Verne, I am probably as anti-Zionist as you are. And while I do not go out of my way to be arguing or shouting the matter, because I think there are so many more immediate and important battles to be fought, I never avoid the question when it comes up."

• "I disagreed most heartily with Bob Taft was his support of aid to Israel by our government."

• "But when you get into the Zionist picture, I repeat that you cannot think any less of the whole government of Israel, or of the whole Zionist conspiracy than I do;"

• "when I think the Zionist conspiracy -- and from then on for perhaps two decades was practically the father of the International Communist Conspiracy. Today I personally think that the relationship is almost exactly reversed, and that the child has now so far outgrown the parent in size and strength and importance that the parent is in a relatively minor position."

To me it seems likely, Dr. Lacey, that in 1900 or 1905, at the time of the first Russian revolution which was led by Trotsky or in 1917, or even up to the middle 1920's, the Communist conspiracy was largely a child or at least a ward of the Zionist conspiracy.
