Seems to me there are points of view in this article which may be not be universally accepted. Anyone agree, or disagree? Don't panic, the tag can easily be removed if people think I am jumping at shadows. Moriori 23:20, August 14, 2005 (UTC)

Whew, that was quick. Someone from University of Adelaide removed the POV tag, without comment. Guess the only way is to remove what I see as POV in the article, (claims that cry out to be supported by refs, but aren't). Will get around to it soon as I have time Moriori 23:49, August 14, 2005 (UTC)

I agree it was POV initially. I have removed the final two paragraphs which were woefully un-encyclopædic. The article seems okay now, but perhaps a thorough rewording wouldn't be a bad thing.--Cyberjunkie | Talk 05:30, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What is so special about Rod Crewther?

I am a former student of his, and while I like his teaching style and he is a nice guy, he is on a comparable level to other physics lecturers here.

eg: former Professor Tony Thomas(http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/directorate/directors/AThomas.html), or current Professor Jesper Munch (http://www.chemphys.adelaide.edu.au/people/physics/jmunch01.html) are very much on a par or above that of Crewther, and so deserve similar wikipedia treatment.

The question is, who copied who. ie. who came first?

Most of that paragraph was intact in the wikipedia article by around August 2005, whereas the external page is about a meeting in November 2005. I'm mildly surprised to find this, but it seems that the wikipedia article is the original.

That doesn't necessarily mean that we can't use that url as a source. Since the page is hosted by the university, we might be able to assume that they've checked their facts, and used wikipedia only to provide them with the phrasing. --192.43.227.18 03:26, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i belive that most people working for the Physics Dept deseva a page, Assoc Prof Bruce Dawson and Prof Roger Clay are well know in the field of High-Energy Astrophysics

Should there be a photo of him (i.e. from the University of Adelaide webpage)? Seems quite bland at the moment. And how about a link to him playing the piano on youtube?
