Page deletion[edit]

Hi, User:Onel5969. I just wanted to flag with you that i have undone your recent edit, and kindly ask for some time to add additional sources to this article, which was deleted without discussion. Many thanks Jason.nlw (talk) 16:59, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. It had been tagged for over a week without improvement, which is why I redirected (which isn't actually deleting the article). I could not find any in-depth sourcing about the archive from independent sources, but you might have access to better sourcing. Being of Welsh heritage myself, am always interested in Welsh-related subjects. Onel5969 TT me 17:03, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Onel5969 Thanks very much! also tagging User:Scope creep who re-did the redirect before I had a chance to work on the references. The archive is pretty important, holding the Special Collections of the oldest University in Wales so I really hope it can stay. I've added additional references to secondary sources, a few of which offer a more in-depth history of the collections and the people involved with it. Please please ping me with a warning, or any advice if this needs more work and I'll get to it as soon as possible. Jason.nlw (talk) 18:57, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jason.nlw: Thats great. It doesn't seem to happen that often. scope_creepTalk 18:59, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources[edit]

I've been doing a little work on the sourcing. Of the twenty-two sources now used, I think six (7/9/10/16/18/21) are directly linked to the subject. Arguably, another three (3/4/17) have some link as they are published by the University of Wales Press. The remainder are, I think, independent secondary sources. I'm wondering if this is sufficient to justify removing the Primary sources tag and would appreciate other views. I know Other Stuff Exists is a poor argument, but I do note that the Bodleian Library, rated B by the Libraries Project, has at least seventeen Bodleian.ox.ac.uk sources, and a lot more published by OUP.

Whilst I'm on, I wonder if this article would benefit from a Library infobox? Views? KJP1 (talk) 11:29, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
