Untitled[edit]

this guy is really important to the university of auckland

also, I had to create the page and then leave for a bit while I recovered my sources, and in the meantime it was flagged for being too short (I presume)

but now I've found more information, and its up there (needs tidying up tho) but I don't have time at the mo ... I just thought it needed to be up asap, so I'll come back to it when my essays are done

also, I only have the official stuff on him, and I'm hoping someone who knows more will come across the site and add more in — Preceding unsigned comment added by Angel of music (talkcontribs) 14:06, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Intend to make some changes shortly on behest of Prof. Green. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nihoan (talkcontribs) 09:19, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changes made[edit]

Recommend making this a New Zealand-related article. Dr. Green is a very well-known archaeologist in the Pacific, and his contributions have been significant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nihoan (talkcontribs) 05:15, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Green made a number of significant contributions to the archaeology of New Zealand and the wider Pacific, including but not at all limited to the development of the Lapita cultural sequence. His obituary appeared in newspapers in the United States and =14&subpillar=103&adid=7102023001 New Zealand, and will make their way into a number of academic journals shortly.
