Family Channel reruns[edit]

I don't remember reruns on Cartoon Network, but they may have existed. But I do remember reruns on The Family Channel (later became Fox Family, ABC Family, and Freeform). That was the only time I saw the series. That was left out of the article.Vern4760 (talk) 17:24, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Didn't the theme song also include these lyrics?

When Ramjet takes a proton pill the crooks begin to worry
They can't escape their awful fate from proton's mighty fury.

Yeah, it did contain those words. Someone's added them now.

The Voices and Cast sections need to be merged or something. Some info is repeated, but I think that the fact Gary Owens worked on laugh in, and that the writers did the voices needs mentioning. It gives it that 4man show appeal :) User:211.30.125.88 04:53, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I added them on 2/17/06. I have observed that most or maybe all other internet sites only have the first and third verses, so whoever posted them here probably did the blind-copy-and-paste approach. I would also guess that whoever posted the lyrics first on whatever site (which every other site then copied blindly) either forgot there was that middle verse, or else was playing "nanny" due to the "drug implications" of that verse. Of course, now that the middle has been here awhile, we should easily be able to tell which other sites parrot this one, ja? Wahkeenah 07:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is a difference between the music used in the opening theme and the ending theme, if I recall correctly.

Rogerramjet.com[edit]

Just noting that the official site http://www.rogerramjet.com appears not to exist anymore. I haven't removed the link as I don't know if this is only temporary. Pufnstuf 19:45, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship for drug use[edit]

Just wondering, I know in Australia it was taken off the air because of drug use (his "pep" proton pills that give him super strength). Should this be mentioned anywhere? - scott

This definitely needs a reference; I never knew this and I only ever watched it in Australia StaticSan (talk) 23:23, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ah ha! that explains my drug abuse problem - anon —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.139.11 (talk) 15:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How many Bombs?[edit]

(Note: a prominent reference book gives the numbers as 20 bombs, 20 seconds, and that was copied into many subsequent works. The 10 and 10,000 figures come from the actual cartoons.) source - http://www.toonopedia.com/ramjet.htm

  • I have the DVD cartoon collection. It's 20 atom bombs for 20 seconds. Wahkeenah 23:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've never heard or read any report about it being taken off the air in Australia. I've seen this series (in Sydney) many times since it first aired in the '60s. As far as I'm aware it's always screened on ABC. Never heard this claim before. Dunks (talk) 01:35, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lompoc[edit]

I've read several reports stating that the regular Lompoc references in RR are because the creators hailed from there. This appears to be a misnomer -- if you look up the Wiki entry for Jim Thurman, you'll see that he was born in Texas and raised in Michigan. I'm yet to track down reliable info on Gene Moss, but I think we need a "citation needed" flag here until the Lompoc connection can be confirmed or denied. Dunks (talk) 01:42, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still not corrected CFLeon (talk) 19:07, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sussed: Jim was born in Dallas, Gene was born in Cleveland (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117870184.html?categoryid=25&cs=1&query=Gene+Moss) therefore the Lompoc reference needs to be changed. So - does anyone know why they really picked Lompoc? Dunks (talk) 02:01, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why'd they picked Lompoc?? Thats easy for a well-traveled, native Californee. Ya see, it's apropos Roger Ramjet and the American Eagles would hail from Lompoc, California... it's the location of Vandenberg Air Force Base!!! 76.218.248.127 (talk) 03:38, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Running Time[edit]

Each episode ran for about 3 minutes, but the infobox reports the running time as "30 minutes (including commercials)". I know TV stations need to advertise a lot, but this seems a bit excessive (or perhaps an error?) Wocky (talk) 07:20, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some sort of error. Youtube helped me to clarify that episodes ran for around 5 mins 20 secs. I've updated the article. HiLo48 (talk) 10:41, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
RE: "Youtube helped me clarify" Sounds like an edit based off OR? Here's a half-hour source: "Together they made 156 episodes (about 150 still exist), which were sold directly into syndication in ‘65 as half hour shows, each containing three unconnected adventures." Missing Episodes[edit]

Is it known why the 6 episodes haven't been released on DVD? Are there technical problems with the sources or have they been banned because they "offended" some special interest group/-s? (Like the banned Looney Toons or Disney cartoons.) CFLeon (talk) 19:12, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
