Page rename request[edit]

Can we rename this page the "Rolls Royce Bentley V8". While the engine will always remain synonymous with Rolls Royce, acknowledgment must be given to the fact that Bentley has been exclusively using and re-designing this engine for a decade now. I agree. 78.32.143.113 (talk) 10:17, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree, especially since the engine remains under continuous development by Bentley but hasn't been used by Rolls Royce since 1998 Steepwiki (talk) 06:06, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is due to both historic Rolls Royce V8s being covered by the same article. The old Rolls V8 should have its own article and this one be adapted to cover only the L410, in which case its title should be "Rolls Royce - Bentley V8 Engine". I might attempt such a split when I have more time, since links to the article also have to be amended. Steepwiki (talk) 06:17, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Problem solved, have created a new article Rolls-Royce - Bentley L Series V8 engine and moved relevant material into it, leaving the Rolls-Royce V8 engine article much simpler and one which no longer tries to cover two different subjects in detail. Greater detail of the Rolls-Royce V-8 (1905) can already be found in the article of that name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steepwiki (talkcontribs) 06:11, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
