Limes and Borders image[edit]

I added this to the Talk page for the image as well: I'm not 100% on precisely how, but I know that this map is innacurate on at least a couple of portions shaded as "territory of Rome". For example, the island comprising modern day Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland was never part of any Roman state. Additionally, I believe the territories in Mesopotamia were only temporarily held by Rome, but never constituted a long term portion of the Roman Empire (although this may have changed under the Byzantine Empire). Can we get a more accurate version of this image? My critique aside, I think this graphic is quite useful, and adds a lot to the article. Hiberniantears 19:42, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely correct about Northern Ireland and Eire, I think I just got a bit carried away when filling in landmasses with green! Feel free to edit this to remove the colour fill for this and any other mistakes. If you don't have access to an image editing app, elt me know and I will edit it.
