Theonlyedge 02:13, 11 February 2006 (UTC) I'd just like to say, a very good all around article[reply]

When did Ron work for NBC? --FrankCostanza 00:56, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the article references six Gemini awards and seven awards which is it?

Took off the part about his mother passing.. while it seems relevant because it was announced live on-air just minutes ago, I don't think it belongs in the bigger picture of his bio. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.224.67.41 (talk) 04:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be back again, and still doesn't seem to make sense? 99.240.208.64 (talk) 20:38, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Took it back out.. I'm not sure why somebody thinks it's a relevant part of his HNIC career.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.224.67.41 (talk) 04:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.55.19.6 (talk) [reply]

I didn't put what is there back in, but I did the original note about his mother passing. It seems relevant especially today since some Toronto area radio hosts hold it up as showing the level of professionalism he showed. It's a key moment in his life shared with millions of viewers, seems relevant to me.--99.254.111.17 (talk) 04:04, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be included in his biography. It's sad that she passed away, and I was also amazed with his professionalism, but it's a sad fact to say that everyone's mother dies. Unless your mother's passing affects you or your work outside of what normally happens in these times or is news in its own right (à la Kanye West), it should not be a part of the biography. Should it/could it be noted that Canada based punk band Propagandhi wrote a song about him? 14:14, 05 March 2009 (UTC)

Definitely! Good soon, too. --24.87.13.9 (talk) 00:15, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image of Ron as referee[edit]

How do you add images? http://www.cbc.ca/sports/story/2006/09/29/ron-maclean.html?ref=rss has a picture of him during his sole NHL game, calling his sole penalty against the Pittsburgh Penguins, an interference call. Is that public domain? --24.87.13.9 (talk) 00:15, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ron MacLean's page is being protected in an attempt to highlight spurious positives and censor the growing body of negatives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.155.183.128 (talk) 19:59, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Propagandhi song is NOT against McLean, it's rather against Cherry, even though the 'letter' in the song is supposedly sent to McLean. --93.7.11.25 (talk) 23:46, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
