US 30 Alternate[edit]

In the article's lead, is this statement: "In 1928 the new U.S. Route 330 (US 330), a different alignment of US 30, went down Roosevelt Road to Geneva, in 1942 it was redesignated as US 30 Alternate." Which US 30 Alternate is it talking about? I looked at List of bannered U.S. Routes#US 30 and Bannered routes of U.S. Route 30, but I don't see which one it could be talking about. It is none of those. It ran from a junction with main US 30 just west of Sterling, Illinois to the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Michigan Avenue in Chicago. It is visible on the 1945 Illinois Road Map, which can be seen in the Illinois Road Map Archive at http://www.idaillinois.org/cdm4/browse.php?CISOROOT=%2Fisl9 Much of it is now IL-38, and its history as both US 330 and US 30A is discussed in the article for Illinois Route 38.
