The most common name for the newly-created news agency is Rossiya Segodnya, or less commonly Rossia Segodnya (which is a less-correct transliteration). I don't think we should be using a translated name because it is not the official one, and in that case, we should be translating every single other TV channel name too, Telecanal should be renamed Telechannel, Televisión Nacional de Chile should be renamed National Television of Chile, and so on. I agree, and have changed "Russia Today" as a search term to have it redirect to "RT (TV network)". "Russia Today" is already taken (by RT) such that also, never mind preferentially, using "Russia Today" for this "Rossiya Segodnya" news agency would create confusion.--Brian Dell (talk) 23:17, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sputnik (one of the company's outlets) constantly introduces its parent as Rossiya Segodnya, as evidenced in the outlet's "About Us", "Products and services" and "Privacy Policy" pages. Also, Rossiya Segodnya is one of two "General Information Partners" of the International Arctic Forum (the other being TASS). In the forum's website, the company's logo in English is displayed as "Rossiya Segodnya". So, despite Rossiya Sevodnya being correct pronunciation in Russian, Rossiya Segodnya is how the company represent themselves in English. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 13:22, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
