Problem- Article Error[edit]

This article on RH Macy states that his brother Charles A. lived for 1 year (1845-1846). How then, can the next paragraph insist that RH and Charles opened a store together in California if Charles had died at 1 year old? "He and his brother, Charles, opened a dry goods store in Marysville, California, shortly after the city was founded at the height of the Gold Rush in 1850.
