Removing the "Selected Academic Articles" section[edit]

I believe that having a gigantic list of all of the articles published by Mr. Billinton is a waste of space and a (somewhat) subset of WP:RAWDATA. Why these articles, and why in this order? If anyone can type in "billinton" into a JSTOR/Web of Knowledge search and get them ALL, why include this list? If any of these articles should be included, they should only be the highly-cited ones (say, anything with >300 citations to it). Primefac (talk) 19:55, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion would be to only list those whose significance is explained in the article text. For the vast majority, a single Google Scholar link to his publications or something like that in the "External links" section will suffice. In short, if the list of "selected" academic papers in the article on a living scientist is longer than that for Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein, you're probably not selective enough.
