Merge proposal[edit]

Clean up Family section[edit]

Rationale: Article topic is for the television show, not the family. The star of the show, Joseph Simmons (co-founder of rap group Run-D.M.C. and brother of Russel Simmons), has an article related to his career and an appropriate section for his personal life (including family). Merger with his article would reduce its relevancy. The lengthy Family section eats up most of the article; there is a subsection for each member of the family. Most of these are unreferenced biographical "blurbs" for the children. Some are written like publicity releases and others are irrelevant/unnecessary. Few of the family members meet notability guidelines for their own article; the bios don't belong here. A couple of the children have their own articles. I believe these bio subsections should be transformed into a concise list, moved to a more appropriate article such as Simmons Family (which could include the family of Russel, and other notable Simmons families), or perhaps deleted altogether (they are already listed in the infobox).bllix (talk) 11:42, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vanessa[edit]

I would like to know why it seems that Vanessa does not have a connection with the family as Angela? It seems as she is treated differently than Angela. Is Vanessa an adopted child?
FYI: VANESSA IS NOT ADOPTED
Vanessa, Angela, and Jojo are all Rev's children from a previous marriage. Vanessa is a regular cats member and interacts with the family as much as Angela does. Howver I do not know why a bio of her is not available in the article.


Move to BET[edit]

03/12/2007 I hope this gets answered one day...But anyone know why the show went from MTV to BET? Was it not good enough or too Black for MTV or something? Got low ratings? what?

BET didnt actually take the show because the new season will be on mtv.But BET always steal shows like the wayans bros, the wire, etc.
