Move review[edit]

@Toploftical: on 16 Mar you moved the Russ Hamilton article about a poker player to Russ Hamilton (poker player) and created a disambiguation page at Russ Hamilton with 2 entries. In doing this you have created a disambiguation page with a large number of incoming links which you have not fixed which has caused DPL bot to tag it. You have also not changed the hatnote at Russ Hamilton (singer).

Pageviews indicate that the poker player is the more popular subject and thus the primary topic. In accordance with WP:ONEOTHER "If there are only two topics to which a given title might refer, and one is the primary topic, then a disambiguation page is not needed—it is sufficient to use a hatnote on the primary topic article, pointing to the other article." which was the status quo before your actions.

In the light of this, would you please consider moving Russ Hamilton (poker player) back to Russ Hamilton, and tagging the redirect Russ Hamilton (disambiguation) per WP:G14. I can help with this if you wish. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:07, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed all the incoming links to Russ Hamilton the poker player. Thanks for catching the missing hat note on Russ Hamilton the Singer. One of the DAB links was for the actor Russ Hamilton who does not have a WP page, I removed that link. The poker player does indeed have more Pageview hits than the singer, but not dramatically so.--Toploftical (talk) 17:08, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
