Article rename?[edit]

Should this page now be renamed Russell Bishop (murderer)? Peadar Ó Croidheáin 22:34, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No objection. No suggestion that this conviction will be appealed. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:38, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Support. According to this, there is a 28-day time limit to apply for permission to appeal. This expires today. It can be reasonably assumed that if any appeal is applied for, then it will be widely reported within a short space of time. I say give it just a few more days just to check if anything emerges, and if not, then do the rename. --Money money tickle parsnip (talk) 08:38, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Still no report of an appeal (searched via Google News). Per the above, I am now going to do the rename. --Money money tickle parsnip (talk) 21:36, 10 January 2019 (UTC) I have now also checked that there are no double redirects that need fixing. --Money money tickle parsnip (talk) 21:41, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This person is only notable due to the Babes in the Wood murders (Wild Park), the key content here could be merged into the Russell Bishop section of that article. The information here is also poorly presented and mis-ordered. Mountaincirquetalk 14:11, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support this. There's stuff in here that's more relevant to the case than to the biography, that can transfer. That stuff here that's frankly just padding and isn't needed in either. ——Serial 10:23, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per the above comments. There is precedent for this with other similar articles, such as Leopold and Loeb (although this is simply evidence that a merge is acceptable, not necessary). Bibeyjj (talk) 22:09, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
