SABLE is dead!?[edit]

On "Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) Version 1.1 W3C Recommendation 7 September 2010" ... is the text:

cite:

"A related initiative to establish a standard system for marking up text input is SABLE [SABLE], which tried to integrate many different XML-based markups for speech synthesis into a new one. The activity carried out in SABLE was also used as the main starting point for defining the Speech Synthesis Markup Requirements for Voice Markup Languages [REQS]. Since then, SABLE itself has not undergone any further development."

STML[edit]

The STML reference in the article was pointing to a page for Amnesia (Short-term memory loss) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STML). In the context of this article, the subject is not about "memory" but rather "speech". In the listed reference for SABLE (http://www.bell-labs.com/project/tts/sable.html), STML is listed as "the Spoken Text Markup Language", for which Wikipedia currently does not have a corresponding article or section. As such, the reference should be removed from the Article for correctness. (araffals 17:24, 4 May 2012 (UTC)) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Araffals (talkcontribs)
