Edits on the memberships section[edit]

Hello 176.12.22.98, this message because of your recent edit on SBS Swiss Business School's page. I saw you removed the statement saying that the school was not accredited by CEEMAN stating that this is a membership section and you are right on that point, but on the other hand, I feel like this information is really important since potential new students or else need to have the most information available to make their own choice. Waiting on you to give me your point of view so we can find a consensus and get the problem solved. Thanks in advance for your time and considération. Hello Jana, thank you for your feedback. I agree, however I also think that someone who will be pursuing a higher education, should be able to differentiate between an accreditation and a membership of an organization. That is just my opinion. Kind regards, 176.12.22.98 176.12.22.98 (talk) 10:16, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Accreditations[edit]

I've taken away a rather misleading section about eduqua, which basically said that state accreditation was going through changes. That concealed the reality that SBS did not havem and does not have, national accreditation under either body. --Duncan (talk) 22:17, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This section was reverted by an anonymous user without comment on the Talk page. I have restored it, and the division between state and private accreditation. It's misleading to say accredited is changing, when both before and after the reorganisation the school lacked accreditation as a university. --Duncan (talk) 18:10, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This section was again reverted by an anonymous user without comment on the Talk page. It is clearly significant that it has continuously not been ranked many the major ranking bodies, and still lacks national accreditation.--Duncan (talk) 22:03, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, more reversions but this time with comments. Let me address them:
  • - Lack of notable rankings is notable. We note the most respected business school rankings on other business school pages and it is significant that the school has not been ranked. Unranked schools are often not worth it [1]
  • That is a highly biased opinion. School rankings in general are a controversial topic and often do not reflect an institution's true values. [2]
  • -The accreditation position is not unclear. The school has not had, and does not have havem higher education accrediation from the Swiss state [3]
  • Regardless of the accreditation position, your edits have an overly negative tone and seem to come off a biased opinion. The edits discredit nearly every single private institution in Switzerland. It puts everything out of context and leaves no room for private institutions, which do add value to the educational landscape. According to the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation: "The schools that are not a part of the public education system or not under government supervision have a different, but not necessarily inferior, level of quality. Some private schools operating in a completely autonomous manner with respect to the Swiss public education system are quite prestigious. However, this is not the case for all private schools. It is primarily the users and the labour market, not so much the state, that judge the quality of education and training. When considering the curricula of private schools catering mainly to pupils from other countries, interested persons are recommended to consult the Swiss Private School Register."[4]
  • SBS Swiss Business School is part of the Swiss Private School register. [5]
  • -Broken links should be identified.
  • -Wikipedia's process should be followed.
I hope that's helpful. --Duncan (talk) 09:26, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
