From the french wikipedia page

Intended to replace (in part) the BB 63400 and BB 63500
Derived from class 311.1 of RENFE as are some other Vossloh Espania built 'light engines'

removal ??[edit]

This has been removed

The locomotives were initially to be called BB 460000<ref>[http://www.vossloh-espana.com/cms/media/downloads/pdfs/references/Vossloh_Espana_SL_BB460000_us.pdf Vossloh Espania BB 460000 data sheet]</ref> but were reclassified as BB66000 (the 6 prefix indicates a less powerful locomotive that a 4 prefix)

Can anyone clarify this - is it just a error on vossloh's part - additional sources please.Carrolljon (talk) 17:47, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Give me a break[edit]

A Voith transmission for a locomotive with traction motors? Oh please! Surely that should be diesel-electric transmission. Peter Horn User talk 14:10, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Make that Voith#Voith Turbo. Peter Horn User talk 14:15, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
