Title of the article[edit]

Is the company still so well-known by its old name that we should use that as the article title? They restyled their name to Daher in 2015.

If we do move the page, then who is the primary topic? Does this become Daher, and the article currently at that title becomes Daher (conglomerate)? Does this page get dabbed to Daher (plane manufacturer)? Do both get dabbed? Or is this title the nice, natural disambiguation? —C.Fred (talk) 15:34, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred and Ahunt: Good question. The Daher article is quite small at present, but is probably the primary topic for the name. I've been considering moving the article back to SOCATA, and retooling it as a defunct manufacturer article, as the company is now just a division of Daher, and apparently one without a unique name. Any current information on new aircraft could be added to the parent article. - BilCat (talk) 15:30, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually User:BilCat's suggestion makes a lot of sense. - Ahunt (talk) 15:37, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Any objections to moving this back to SOCATA as a defunct article? Daher appears to using the name Daher Aircraft for its aircraft manufacturing division in some contexts, so if the Daher article grows much more, we could split it off at that point. - BilCat (talk) 23:30, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Probably a good idea at this point. - Ahunt (talk) 00:00, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
