Vandalism[edit]

Reverted the last 3 changes due to vandalism. Liv3d (talk) 00:14, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We should consider getting protection for this article because it seems to be vandalized a lot. razr95 (talk) 21:18, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I attempted to fix the features area. Added a 'about this game' section. Here are the sources for both areas: http://ps3.ign.com/objects/906/906076.html#features —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.60.191.245 (talk) 02:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone add a weapons list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.154.28.32 (talk) 01:23, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a weapons list will is not encyclopedic. Also, Wikipedia is not a game guide (WP:GAMEGUIDE). Reorion (talk) 22:59, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The title of this page needs to be changed. Press materials state the name of the game with a colon. And even if you choose not to change the title of the page, "SOCOM: Confrontation" should at least redirect here.(Myscrnnm 19:58, 20 May 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I went a head and moved the page to SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation. Reorion 04:25, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article should not be deleted (as suggested). Blatant advertisement should be deleted- not information on popular video games. However, the article should be updated with more accurate information. For example, it states the environment is highly interactive, when it is not. The only parts of the environmnet that is truly destructible are breach spots. In no way is the structure of the environment going to be modifiable. Other information should be included such as new or different features. Information on public opinion of such options (as viewed on forums and polls) could be included (but discouraged? unless it can be presented in a wholly objective manner). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rickman33 (talkcontribs) 08:08, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

shouldnt this be...[edit]

...in the category 'playstation 3 only games'? i dont know how to do that, however! 82.9.226.9 (talk) 18:00, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

is this a trophy game?[edit]

Not yet socom: confrontation is an incomplete game. A new patch (1.30) will be out "soon" according to www.socom.com. There are several features missing because they rushed the customers a beta and made us pay $60 for something that wasn't ready. just look at the strategy guide avalible at gamestop 20 pages of stuff that is not in the game.

on the game case it says trophie enabled or something on it, but when i go to see if it is on a ps3 trophies site.. it dont show up.. so is it a trophy game of not? 949paintball (talk) 01:43, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Currently, SOCOM: Confrontation is not a trophy game but it was intended to be a trophy game at the time of launch. A new update of the game, version 1.3 will add SOCOM Awards and PSN Trophies. [1] Reorion (talk) 17:41, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It has now been patched to include trophies. Someone care to update it?FacistsPotter (talk)January 27th 2009 —Preceding undated comment was added at 07:19, 27 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Clan List[edit]

It would be nice to have a spot to go where people can plug their clans. Give a template to follow and thats it.

Clan Name: Tag: Website: Leader: CoLeader: Recruiting: —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ps3iNsuLt (talkcontribs) 19:36, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is not possible as it would break Wikipedia's policy. Please see WP:GAMEGUIDE and WP:NOT. Reorion (talk) 22:59, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is now a trophy game. These are added to your ps3 log in name. I believe now their are over 33 trophys to be won —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.182.152.238 (talk) 21:10, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm seems like alil bit more work needs to be done in this article[edit]

I removed the line "Epic fail" in the reception area. Also there is no discussion on the european release of the game and how well it will be recieved. Does anyone wish to expand on that? Also why not expand on the features of said game? This is an encyclopedia after all.

1 more thing. The note on a feature it lacked which contributed to its low score being "a lack of single player element" imo, should be deleted. The series has never been about single player gaming. It has always been about multiplayer with a single player add on in most gamer's opinions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FacistSpotter (talkcontribs) 05:24, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
