Tonnage[edit]

The article infobox list tonnage as grt, which is a measure of volume. The text speaks of a "gross displacement". One of the sources, the wrecksite.eu source, has a field for "weight (tons)" and a value stated in grt. Gross register tonnage is a measure of volume, not of weight or displacement; this is often confused, both on and off Wikipedia. And another source lists net tonnage at 30 (which is not inconsistent with the grt value). The proper value should be given; in all probability the grt is correct, as that is how merchant ships were measured, but this is not displacement or weight. I suggest changing the text to say the vessel "measured" 58 grt, and not mention "displacement". Kablammo (talk) 22:32, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
