SWiSHMAX is a program that utilises Macromedia Flash technology to create a variety of outputs.

These outputs range from moving and fading text and images to more complex effects. These effects come with the program and many people find it not only easier to use but also faster to use than Flash.

SWiSHMAX outputs into the .swf format. Which is a format created by Macromedia for the purposes of displaying their content on the web within the parameter set by the W3C. The .swf output can be integrated into ASP.NET, PHP and SQL which makes it very handy as a GUI for database systems.

Many oasdf[[File:Link title]]pensource forums exist which help beginners to understand how it works and supply downloads to illustrate this. These forums also push the boundries of how SWiSHMAX can be applied and are updated regularily.

The idea was to either simply rewrite the article or to explain its significance on the talk page so that someone else could rewrite the article. POV and unencyclopedic content[edit]

Wikipedia is not a software review site, nor is it the place to post sales brochures. The "Features" section (which I have just removed) was POV and lifted buzz words and catch phrases directly from the publisher's website (e.g., "create stunning flash animations in a matter of seconds," "create dazzling text animations with ease," "a huge list of preset effects," etal.). There was not a single sentence of quantifiable objective fact. The "Limitations" section directly contradicted the "Features" section, even though both were posted by the same user. The download link is also inappropriate; the website is already linked in the "External Links" section, if anyone is interested in trying the software they can find the download there. Links within a Wikipedia article should lead to additional information on the topic, not places to download and purchase commercial software. The "Requirements" should have been incorporated into the article text in complete sentences, not run off like the data on the end panel of a software package. In future, please adhere to the Wikipedia content guidelines. And SWiSH Max is TWO WORDS. If you're going to steal from a website, steal the spelling correctly. Build release and cleanup[edit]

The latest build release is much later than 2006.06.29, as it says in the infobox, if you include Swish Max2 as a build release. Also, the external links need major cleanup. I updated the image screenshot, because the old one was of the original Swish Max (not version 2). Actually, I think the whole article needs some editing to include the release of Swish Max2, adding things such as updated features. Lastly, the original Swish Max definitely allows the user to export in macromedia flash player 8, and version 2 support Adobe flash player 9 (I just fixed this false info).
