I thought Armor Holdings announced that all marketing would be done under the Safariland name? Greenlead (talk) 22:13, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Government Company Registrations of Safariland Group[edit]

Searching on search.sunbiz.org gives the following search-results for SAFARILAND. This is NOT a .gov website, and so does not seem (to the average web user) to have the same level of legitimacy as, say, https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar :

SAFARI-LAND INC 205363 INACT

SAFARI LAND COMPANY, INC. 656076 INACT

SAFARILAND, LLC M04000001606 Active (contact address : 13386 International Parkway Jacksonville, FL 32218)

SAFARILAND INC. P01000052339 INACT

SAFARI LAND GUNS, L.L.C. L12000025804 Active

https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar only returns the following company for SAFARILAND, with a DIFFERENT contact address :

SAFARILAND GOVERNMENT SALES INC 1400 MARSH LANDING PARKWAY STE 112 JACKSONVILLE FL 32250 9047415400

Is there a reason for why the Safariland Company is associated with two separate addresses on these two databases? Clearly, the two databases used are different, BUT if all the admin for the Safariland Group is done at the same place, THEN they should use the same contact address. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the www.sec.gov database in that it only caters for specific types of company, and that there is a good reason for WHY different address details for a Safariland company are contained on this database than when compared to the search.sunbiz.org database. It may be that no-one has gotten around to Standardising the database details of www.sec.gov WITH those of search.sunbiz.org. It appears that both databases have companies with the name 'Safariland' within them, and Google searching creates the impression that they are both part of the Safariland Group.

Why the separate addresses? ASavantDude (talk) 17:39, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
