Untitled[edit]

Perhaps we need a disambiguation page. There is also a well known female singer from Sweden who goes by the name Saga. There are are also the Icelandic sagas, which alreday have a Wikipedeia Page.

BTW: I deleted the Rush vs. Saga stuff out of here. This isn't a fan board, it's Wikipedia. Come on guys!

The best place for accurate Saga history information is the Saga Germany website, located at http://saga-germany.de/content/sagahistory.html. While this website isn't the official Saga website, it is the official Saga forum, and the people who run it are all long time friends of the band members and pretty much know what they are talking about.

In it's current form, this article has numerous inaccuracies. For example, the band formed in 1977 not in 1971 as stated here. Even what you have written here suggests that whoever wrote all this is aware of that fact, as it states that "10,000 days equates to 27 years, 4.54 months, approximately the amount of time Sadler spent with the band." This doesn't add up either as 1977 to 2007 is 30 years, and 1971 to 2007 would be 36 years.

In general terms, it's not a very good idea to write about something unless you know for sure that your information is accurate. This has been a long standing problem with Wikipedia. My Mother always used to say "If you don't know what you're talking about, it's best to not say very much."

Kenny D - The reason that it states that Saga has been active since 1971 probably relates to the year that Michael Sadler and Jim Crichton became professional musicians or at least joined their first bands!

Two bassists?[edit]

It seems Jim Crichton, who always was the main brain behind Saga, isn't really out of the band. He didn't want to tour anymore but I remember an interview from 2019 in which the guys said they were recording new music with him. This begs the question whether both him and Dusty Chesterfield should be considered active members.
