Clarification needed[edit]

I’m afraid I can’t quite work out what the following sentence is intended to mean: ‘Salts Nivica was editor of the Albanian patriotic people he put at the disposal of the Albanian cause the newspaper, and during his life, give the newspaper-advertised Albania ethnic unity and the liberation of Kosovo from the Serbs.’ Could somebody clarify it please?
