"Mermaid"?[edit]

From today's "Did you know..." on the Wikipedia front page:

... that 2012 Olympic synchronized swimmer Samantha Reid is a "Mermaid"?

Huh? What does this mean? Nothing in the article serves to highlight this factoid, and I can't seem to find any reference to it anywhere I've looked (even the did you know nomination simply mentions this without explaining it in the least bit). Do we really want people to click through to the article only to not find the factoid anywhere on this page?

I would suggest that someone who knows what this is supposed to mean add a brief mention of it to the article to prevent any such confusion. Arathald (talk) 20:24, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Already there - "and a member of the Gold Coast Mermaids in 2012." Miyagawa (talk) 20:33, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just read over the article again, and didn't even see it after you pointed out. I had to search for it to find it. Apparently, I can't read today :| Sorry for the false alarm. Arathald (talk) 20:43, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, better to be safe than sorry! :) Miyagawa (talk) 20:59, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
