Does not have BT in Germany either, but there seem to be multiple models now. Never will understand the model flood some of these vendors provide.. -- Nils (talk) 04:55, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Amazon will be releasing a special edition NC10 (the NC10-11PBK) with larger trackpad and extended battery.[1][2] JeffGirard (talk) 12:32, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The NC10 SE is not multitouch (as indicated in the amazon reviews), but as far as I can tell from the linux kernel boot logs, neither is the normal NC10 (see the thread at http://www.voria.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=142). Specifications[edit]

1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive are usually the standard specifications, but in some countries (not sure which ones) the RAM is as small as 512MB and the hard drive as small as 80GB. --90.5.42.162 (talk) 14:35, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The 6 cell battery when run with power saving off and screen at maximum brightness lasts about 4.5 hours when new and 3.5 hours after 3 years and some 1,000 charges. You cannot get anything like 7 hours out of the battery unless you turn the power saving on and the screen to minimum brightness, but then its not much use as a functioning computer! Confirmed. The new battery was good for 4.5 hours and after a year of daily use it was down to 3.5 hours where it has remained until now which is 3 years and 4 months. Good to see that new models don't have navy blue F7 and F8 keys on a black keyboard! Never though the web cam label needed to say: Digital Motion Camera. The NC10 is a very good netbook. If this is an enclyopedia then I'm a banana[edit]

"If the Samsung factory warranty is over then the possible solution is to dismantle the lid, remove the panel, adjust the wiring, and screw it all back together.

"The steps are:

   Remove the battery.
   Peel off the little rubber pads from the four corners of the face of the lid and unscrew the corresponding four screws.
   Peel the face off the lid. There are snaps that pop open as you peel the face off. Do not be alarmed.
   Unscrew the four screws at the base of the LCD panel, freeing the panel from the hinges. Commence handling the LCD panel. Notice where the cable flattens out and adheres to the back of the panel, peeling the first inch or so of it off and stick it back on.
   Those steps solved the problem in many cases."

NC10 and Windows 8?[edit]

I have problems installing Windows 8 as no apps, not even MSIE, will run, all complaining about the 1024v600 resolution. They all want min 1024x768. I can't even install the Samsung drivers/software and get it to work in order to "frighten" the NC10 to go to 1024x768.

Is it so that the NC10 simply is not now, and will not be, compatible with Win 8?
