Own religion[edit]

That is not true, the Indians of North East India amount to numerous ethnic groups and races and practice many religions indiginous and otherwise. The point you made is more relevant to Manipur, which is a small part of the NE of India. However, Sanamahi is only exclusively practiced by a minority of the people of Manipur, even though it has seen a resurgence in recent decades.--Samk108 (talk) 12:00, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate information[edit]

please dont put inaccurate information about LORD SANAMAHI.

The followers of Sanamahi are the entire population of meitei, also some of the tribal population of kangleipak. Some of the meitei are still follow hinduism also but all of the meitei inside they follow sanamahi. The reference that was used is for the ethno-lingusitic population NOT for folowers of Sanamahi religion. Rather, the 2001 census data on religion is the most reliable factual data available. Although Sanamahi was not explicitly recorded, the 'Other' catagory amounting to 235,000 people is more than likely to represent a majority of follwers of Sanamahi. All other significant religions like Hinduism, Islam and Christianity are explicity mentioned.

Also the section on threats to Sanamahi are the opinons of one individual not and objective account. Also the stating of the apparent words of an EX Maharaja with no authority to rule, is superflous to the section and hardly is relevant to being a threat ot Sanamahi, especially when he was endorsing the religion.--Samk108 (talk) 11:54, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sanamahi can't be translated in Liquid Gold as Sana (Sona) Hindi Term of gold while in Meetei language Sanna means Spreading as the term Sanamahi is form by adding two words Sanna + Emahi = Sanamahi. @Awangba Mangang: Wikipedia articles summarize the verifiable information in peer-reviewed and similar quality WP:RS. Wikipedia is not a personal blog, and it is inappropriate for you to ask anyone here "do you know...". We do not rely on personal views/wisdom/prejudice, nor websites etc as these are questionable sources. We stick with scholarship, even if you or some editors disagree. I will revert any edits you make that are unsourced or if they cite poor quality, questionable sources/websites. If you were to collaboratively identify peer-reviewed sources about Sanamahism, e.g. for "Sana" means "spreading" etc, we can work together to improve this article. Section on Sanamahi practices[edit]

New character I've never seen[edit]

The article says that 8 "℅" of the religious population follow Sanahamism. What is "℅"? That is not the percent symbol. Is it something unique to South Asian English, like lakh and crore in counting? IAmNitpicking (talk) 19:29, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
