Santiago Almeida[edit]

It is sad to read how Almeida is portrayed in this biography putting him at the same level as Narciso Martinez who was the composer. Almeida only accompaniment base cords when Martinez dropped his left hand use to concentrate on the melody of his compositions. Furthermore, Martinez’s was a lifelong career and Almeida’s was not. He accompanied Martinez a span of aprox. 12 years. To give Almeida credit for compositions he didn’t compose is disgraceful and a disrespect to Martinez’s legacy. You should put forth truthful information. Trying to change history is wrong. It should truthfully read that Almeida was always and only an accompaniment musician and there are no compositions by Almeida or solo recordings by him.
