Comments[edit]

Sarah Thompson, Countess of Rumford seems the natural title. --Wetman (talk) 22:30, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the idea. Seems logical to me. Should then the "move" be made to this better name or should it be a new article under that name? That would solve another problem as there is another Sarah Thompson (actress). --Doug talk 22:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sarah Thompson, Countess Rumford would be better. The title of Graf isn't followed by von (of). When moving an article, always use the 'move' tab.
NB, I've removed the statement that the title was granted "by Charles Philip Frederick, Duke of Bavaria", a mysterious character I can't trace. Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria, had inherited Bavaria from a very distant cousin, and he had no such son. Whatever the source may say, the title of Graf Rumford was probably granted by Charles Theodore (Karl Theodor) himself. Xn4 (talk) 06:51, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Great improvements to the article Xn4 and others that have contributed. --Doug talk 11:09, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
