Hello! I'll be taking a look at this article for the January 2022 GAN backlog drive. If you haven't already signed up, please feel free to join in! Although QPQ is not required, if you're feeling generous, I also have a list of GA nominations of my own right here.

Infobox and lede[edit]

  • "Olympics and place fourth in the tournament" → "Olympics, which finished the tournament in fourth place"
  • Link "the tournament" to Softball at the 2020 Summer Olympics
  • The link to her full name in the infobox can be moved to the bold section of the lede

Early years[edit]

  • Mention her parents' names, which can be found on her college bio
  • "was a three-time league MVP"
  • Should make explicit that she played softball for her high school team and didn't get these awards just by showing up to school
  • Link "batted" to Batting average (baseball)
  • Link "lettered" to Varsity letter

Career[edit]

College career[edit]

  • Link catcher
  • "to have "fell out of love"" → "to have "[fallen] out of love""
  • Link Mexican national team
  • Link fielding percentage
  • Why isn't there anything from her junior year? Her Wildcats bio says she played
  • Link home run
  • Spell out and link runs batted in and add (RBI) in parentheses after
  • "She was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week"

Professional career[edit]

  • Prose is unclear whether she actually played with the Bandits or just signed with them and ended up with the Comets the next year
  • an upstart experimental league without coaches or owners which changes team rosters weekly via a draft and ranks players on a leaderboard based on their individual performances. Complex syntax to the point of confusion
  • Link "walks" to Base on balls
  • Might want to add a note explaining how points are calculated in this league

International career[edit]

  • "Palacios' freshman" → "Palacios's freshman"
  • Comma after "Later that year"
  • "one of a dozen" → "one of 12"

  • "getting knocked out" → "being eliminated"
  • "finished third" → "finished in third place"

Personal life[edit]

  • Link exhibition game
  • What team drafted her father?
  • The information about her parents should go in the early life section
  • "master's" → "master's degree"

References[edit]

  • Good

General comments[edit]

  • No images in article, thus cannot be assessed for licensing/relevance
  • No stability concerns in the revision history
  • Copyvio score looks good

Putting on hold to allow nominator to address comments. I will be honest, I was borderline quickfailing this article on the basis of broadness: while I cannot fail you for not including information that doesn't exist, I do have some serious concerns about the sparse coverage of both her professional and college career (particularly, like I noted above, the lack of mention of her junior year). I know it can be hard to find sources, especially since the Bandits disbanded and no longer have a working website, but I'd encourage you to at least try. In any case, putting on hold for seven days, with an option to extend as long as communication is maintained. — GhostRiver 05:26, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GhostRiver: Thank you for your time here. I have tried to address the concerns highlighted here. JTtheOG (talk) 06:31, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for making those changes; I know being asked to add a good deal of content is never easy. Passing now. — GhostRiver 16:07, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@GhostRiver: No, it was good criticism. There was truly lots of information missing. Thanks again for all the sports GA reviews you do. JTtheOG (talk) 02:30, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
