"This article or section may fail to make a clear distinction between fact and fiction."

First line of article:

"Satriale's Pork Store is a fictional establishment on the HBO series, The Sopranos."

ummm, seems pretty clear to me

It says that, but the article is about the fictional place, then jumps out of a fictional tense when it says, "The pork store is set and filmed at 101 Kearny Avenue in Kearny, New Jersey". I see why the tag is there. It would be like a biography of Bugs Bunny, then saying something about the artist. 162.136.192.1 20:57, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well it is fact, not fiction, that "The pork store is set and filmed at 101 Kearny Avenue in Kearny, New Jersey", this is similar to a biography of Bugs Bunny saying something about where the character is drawn. Dlabtot 18:24, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
umm, I mispoke... let's be clear - WP has an article about Bugs Bunny -- not a biography. Dlabtot 18:32, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was clear to me too. Unless there really is a Satriale's. I'd love to try their soppressata. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.12.3.173 (talk) 03:08, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Setting, or location?[edit]

Does anything in The Sopranos establish the fictional setting of Satriale's as being in Kearny? Or is that simply the location where it's filmed? (This is especially unclear as it's been shot in two different locations.) 84.203.39.242 (talk) 01:21, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found the location on Google maps. The Irish took it over. Sometimes companies will create a business that will be used in a TV series by obtaining an abandoned building or something like that for external shots. --Nosehair2200 (talk) 01:17, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
