Music video

There is an | unofficial music video for Fall Out Boy's "Sugar, We're Goin Down" that uses clips from the movie along with footage of the band playing the song from the original video. This was the first fan video ever to include footage, from music videos or otherwise, of the artist playing the song mixed with footage of the object of fandom (in this case, Saving Grace or, as specified in the video's title, Craig Ferguson). • A bit late to the party, but in case anyone happens to check back and is every curious about this topic, fan-made videos should never be added to an article unless the fan-made video has attracted attention through independent and reliable sources. In other words, the video itself should be notable. An example of what would comprise a reliable source would be if MTV Geeks covered the fan-made video. As far as claims of the video being "first", that's actually not true. I've been to anime cons long before that video was made where the AMV creator did just what this video was claiming to be first at. It's just that fan-made videos rarely get coverage by the wider media and as such, these things go unnoticed. I'd even go as far as to wager that we could probably find fan-made music videos from even earlier than the late 90s, early 2000s that did the same thing if we looked hard enough.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 11:32, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Off-site location

Though i havent any citational proof...certain visual clues give an indication that one or both screenwriters spent time on the Mendocino Coast of California, USA. (I'm leaning towards Craig, myself.) Here's what a local resident caught: the hemp/marijuana connection (could happen ANYWHERE); the walks out on the Headlands, to smoke/clear one's head (very near daily routine for some in village of Mendocino, see google maps); the two lady shopkeepers, especially during the 'have some cornFLAKES?' scene (i know how he could have, might have met them, but why he focused on them as opposed to other Mendo characters, i dont know, except these two are based on a VERY eccentric artist mother/daughter duo, one of the founding families of the Mendo Art Center..perhaps met them in town at Mendosa's Market? Oh yes, the daughter, a frail thing had 'funny eyes'..!!!). Lastly, the kicker for me, late in the movie Matthew runs down to seaside to tell his girl, he loves her!! she too, and is pregnant! He then wades out, clothes and all, she in turn jumps 'Overboard' to swim to him! as they embrace.. etc. the hawn/russell movie was filmed all around MENDOCINO in 1986 76.218.248.127 (talk) 17:58, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
