Doesn't it also mean a person always looking for handouts? In typical common usage: "Shemp wants some free hockey tickets. He is such a Schnorrer!" Not always a tramp, this is more of a "bum" connotation. Ashton Coochter 22:42, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The proper article, Schnorrer (Yiddish), explains that "Schnorrer" means "beggar" or "sponger". When the present disambiguation page gets unprotected, it should be changed to be consistent with the article. --MarkSweep (call me collect) 05:36, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
