Scissor-tailed bird grasshopper impaling[edit]

I am from central Texas and am quite familiar with the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. I have watched them stick grasshoppers on the barbed-wire barbs and have seen many many grasshoppers having been immpaled. Could this information be put in as a detail? It is quite unique in its use of man-made adaptations to the environment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kargin (talkcontribs) 15:06, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scissor Tailed Flycatcher spotted in OC California[edit]

OMG, my second time spotting a Scissor Tailed Flycatcher in Orange County California! Last year I thought it was just a fluke, but yesterday(Sept 20, 2019) I saw that bad boy! What a ear catching song(chatter). I could not hurry my husband fast enough to share that vision with him. Wow! So, my question to the bird watching enthusiasts. Is this a phenomenon, to spot this bird in OC Calif?
