Definition[edit]

There is no reference to this topic in either W. H. Murray's The Hebrides or the Collins Encyclopaedia of Scotland. It may be a modern usage and I have not been able to find a verifiable definition. Looking at atlases and the OS suggests it covers the area south of the Minch, but may not contain the Hebrides as a whole. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 11:42, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

what is "km2"?[edit]

What is the supposed meaning of "47000 km2"? If it was the area, it sould be written as km², and even then, the number should be mentioned in the text and not as an image caption, especially, as the majority of the caption mentiones the islands and not the sea itself --- which is it? .--Nomentz (talk) 07:47, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
