I have created redirects from the proposed title and the title without the apostrophe, but Google searches indicate that the present title is still much more common than the new one, indicating that this should probably not be changed at this time per WP:COMMONNAME. Oppose. While ghits aren't the best evidence, we have none whatsoever that the name should be changed, just a nomination based on primary sources and a mistaken belief that the official name is automatically the correct article title. Support "Seafarers Hospital Society". The name has indeed changed, and per WP:NAMECHANGES we go with sources published after the name changes for current entities.[2] Google News sources show that more recent sources are using the current name,[3] except when referring to historical places, events or people from when it was called "Seamen's Hospital Society".--Cúchullain ^t/c 13:55, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It was a team effort. Note I pinged them too. But assessing the arguments through the lens of policy was the key IMO. I should in hindsight have looked for recent sources rather than just standing on one of my favourite high horses... but we are all human.
