CD-ROM[edit]

I wonder whether it's just me who thinks that this coat of arms looks surprisingly similar to a CD-ROM, LOL. Wondering whether it's intentional... NerdyNSK 14:02, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes rofl it does look like a CD-ROM, I kept your initial idea on the page for every other editor to look at and laugh. Intententional, maybe ;-) Mike33 14:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Earlier version[edit]

There was an earlier version of the emblem which had a predominantly red background, with a red star on top, and water waves on the bottom (instead of the horned animal). AnonMoos 10:03, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Two more official seals for Madagascar[edit]

http://www.hubert-herald.nl/Madagascar.htm According to this web page, there were two more official seals Madagascar used to adopt. The first one was used between 1958-1975 when Madagascar was under the name of Repoblika Malagasy. The second one was used between 1975-1993 when Madagascar was under the name of Repoblika Demokratika Malagasy. 111.227.72.233 (talk) 07:58, 6 February 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.190.116.123 (talk) 13:49, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Madagascar seal image does not match the official images[edit]

Good day. The Madagascar seal image does not match the official images. It is required to replace the current version with the real one. What is stated in the Madagascar seal article on the wiki does not match the official image. The official seal is made in two shades of gold (dark and light), there are no red, green, white colors. In addition, the current version of the wiki contains the motto TANINDRAZANA - FAHAFAHANA - FANDROSOANA, which means "Motherland - Freedom - Development", which does not correspond to what is indicated on the official website. The year 2010 was changed according to the new constitutional law passed in November 2010. . The text of the Republic of Madagascar can be seen above and below the slogan: "Love-Country-Progress" or «Fitiavana-Tanindrazana- Fandrosoana». source: https://www.presidence.gov.mg/presidence/les-symboles-de-la-republique.html Returntoedenblr (talk) 09:13, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
