This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the article is still in the process of being completed. The Wikipedia entry covers the biography of a professionally published author in the horror, science fiction and fantasy genre.

@Drm310: Nowhere does it say in the items you cite that writing an autobiography is forbidden on Wikipedia. In fact it explicitly says: "Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is an example of conflict of interest editing and is strongly discouraged." I intentionally wrote the article in as objective a manner as I could. I am happy to change anything you believe is subjective or slanted. Alternatively, feel free to change it yourself if there is something specific that does not ring true. In fact, that's why I intentionally made the article so short. But to censor the article based on a loose principle without any evidence to suggest bias seems a bit ham-fisted, no? If this is Wikipedia's official policy, these articles shouldn't use weak language like "highly discouraged." The language should be precise. Otherwise this forum is wasting people's valuable time. Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the subject is a published author, including a work published in Writers of the Future, which has its own Wikipedia entry.

I see no reason why the article should be slated for deletion. This isn't a self-published vanity page, it's a published author's bio.Raesvelg (talk) 21:20, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Looks better. The links to sources connected to the subject won't help establish notability. We can always use more cites from reliable sources unconnected w/ subject and w/ reputation for fact checking. Dlohcierekim (talk) 14:00, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
