Use outside North America

[edit]

This is an interesting article, because in the mid 1990s (in the UK) I owned a television whose remote control had an "A/B" button that according to the instruction manual was for switching the audio on "bilingual broadcasts". It never appeared to do anything on any channel, and always mystified me. I see now that it was probably designed to access the feature of broadcasting described in this article. Its use in North America is discussed here, but is there any evidence it has ever been used elsewhere? And given the worldwide shift towards digital broadcasting, does this article need to be put into the past tense? Finally, the statement about student radio stations using it should be qualified with some information about where and when this has taken place. Usually if someone puts something like this into Wikipedia without mentioning the place they mean the USA (I don't know if they assume the rest of the world doesn't exist or what). If anyone can help answer my questions, I would appreciate it if they could put the relevant information in the article. Thanks! Credulity (talk) 17:15, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of available programs

[edit]

Does anyone know where there is a list of programs available in SAP? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.34.156.204 (talk) 19:31, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Did I understand this correctly?

[edit]

It says SAP is "analog". Does that mean it is on the original ABC,NBC,CBS, Ch2 only? Does that mean "not cable channels" (AMC,TBS, etc) and not satellite? You might want to clarify that for those of us who don't speak "electronics". Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.34.156.204 (talk) 19:33, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
