Dealing with the modern US title[edit]

So, it strikes me that we need to think carefully about whether it's appropriate to include stuff from before the US title became WWE property to being in WWE (being that's the title of the article). Yes, the company recognizes the entire history of the ex-JCP/WCW title as part of the history, and rightly so. But we really shouldn't be saying that the people who held that title prior to 2001 were in WWE during those reigns. That's totally anachronistic. The WW(W)F had zero creative control over the title, and it was never defended on a WW(W)F promoted card before 2001. Just seems to me that any mention of pre-2001 reigns should have more than just a note that it was called the NWA or WCW US title. (Especially since the WW(W)F actually rejoined as an NWA member in the early 70s and only left for good when Vince took over from his father.) I think any mention of such a reign needs to include a link to a footnote stating outright that the title was not part of the WW(W)F at the time. oknazevad (talk) 05:33, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Declaring championships as Secondary vs. Tertiary[edit]

Why isn't here the International Championship, European Championship, Canadian Championship, National Championship Hardcore Championship (not 24/7 rule), Martial Arts Championship, all of them are most important that NXT Heritage cup, and u also can included the FCW Titles, FCW was the only truly WWE Development brand the another like OVW was only a partership. (FranXBSC|talk)(talk) 3:28, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Those were all tertiary. oknazevad (talk) 13:10, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why tertiary? the International 1st version was the first title in CWC, most important that the NWA USA TV that born later as NWA territory title. In 1978 the original WWWF USA Title was defunt and the only secondary title was the Martial Arts Championship, was considered a World Championship, remember the Muhammed Ali vs Antonio Inoki inaugural brawl. Why is there the WWF North American Title isnt the tertiary behind the Intercontinental? and no the International, the Intercontinental born in 1979 until today, the North American 79 until 82, the International 2nd version since 82 until 85 so? both titles was defended in American and Asia with the partnership with NJPW. The Canadian and the National titles only 1 champion per title with the same "National" level that the USA Titles. The European Title was very important in the Attitude Era very similar level to the Intercontinental recognized by all wrestlers and promoters of that era. You need reconsidered that and add this titles. (FranXBSC|talk)(talk) 12:37, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
