Title of office[edit]

The article seems to suggest (unintentionally, I'm sure) there is something odd about having a "secretary of state" in a "commonwealth". That is incorrect. The term "state" in the title refers to a certain kind of duty in a government, not to a state of the United States. For example, the U.S.A. is not a "state", but it has a "secretary of state". This is not an isolated example; the U.K. government has several "secretaries of state" with different portfolios, if I am not mistaken. Perhaps the article is all right as it stands, but I think it could be slightly improved. I will think about it. Zaslav (talk) 00:50, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
