Trolling and Segfault[edit]

I cannot believe that an article about Segfault fails to mention the role Segfault played in the trolling phenomenon. Most of the "classic" Slashdot trolls (e.g. Natilie Portman Nude and Petrified, Hot Grits) were first done on Segfault. In my humble opinion, the trolls really got their start on Segfault due to the complete lack of any mechanism to remove them (vs. Slashdot's moderation system), and only when Segfault blocked comments upon stories did the trolls, like fleas abandoning a dead rat, decend upon Slashdot. Please go ahead and add what you know to the article. Fredrik | talk 19:54, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
OK, done. Now, to let others polish it... N0YKG 20:21, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
"The troll community which had been well established on Segfault, having "killed their host", sought out a new host to "infect" - Slashdot." This article would be be better served with this line removed or at least significantly altered. Leaving it ruins the NPOV of the rest of the section. --68.148.103.30 07:11, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
