Cleanup[edit]

This article is in need of some tidying up.

  • The kanji for Odo's name are needed, for one.
  • Spelling needs to be checked, particularly for the names of people mentioned - is it Higaonna Kanryo, Higaonna Kanryō, Higashionna Kanryo, or Higashionna Kanryō?
  • Macrons need to be applied correctly, accurately, and consistently. Bogu is not a word; Bōgu is not an English word and should be romanized (spelled) correctly, and italicized.
  • All foreign words, especially the names of the kata, should be italicized.
  • Various things need to be wiki-linked, especially the names of various figures.

Redirects[edit]

The composition of this article is confusing. It contains stuff that should probably be their own articles - either that, or the article should be renamed so the topic is defined not as an individual, but as a line of karate/kempo. I'm not sure if Shigeru Nakamura was Odo's teacher or not, but Odo took over Nakamura's dojo - shouldn't Nakamura have his own article? Also, even if bogu kumite originated in this line of karate/kempo I think the term merits an article of its own. --83.178.230.237 (talk) 11:39, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've been looking for WP:RS to add to this article. As written, there aren't really enough to establish WP:GNG. I've found plenty of blogs but RS are few and far between. I'm putting a few here for future use: The Dissident Aggressor 13:33, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
