Is SelTrac technology are using in UAE?[edit]

Thales Rail Signalling Solutions[edit]

Dubai Metro Signalling & Train Control System - Seltrac S40[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

I have a COI as I work at Thales dealing with Seltrac.

The main objective of this edit is to complete the list of Seltrac references and correct/ amend some inaccurate information on this page.

Seltrac Incidents

In the 2021 Kelana Jaya LRT incident while it is true that the line used Seltrac , the main cause of the accident was human error thus it is not technically a seltrac incident.

This source provides a full run down of the events occurred and concludes that the main cause of the incident was the driver who moved the train towards the wrong direction. This is the same reference used in the wiki page for the incident.

The wiki page also highlights how the main cause of the accident was human error.

If this is considered a seltrac incident then under the same logic one could argue that this could be a rolling stock incident. Thus why should we consider it is a Seltrac incident and not a rolling stock incident.

I was going to reply saying that information on operators who use this system is something that readers ought to go to the company website to find. But after spending 10 minutes trying to find that type of a list on the company's website I came to the conclusion that that it doesn't exist, or if it does, the company goes out of its way to make it very difficult to find. Nevertheless, I still feel that this information would fall under WP:NOTDIRECTORY, so I hesitate to add anything beyond what is already listed in the article. I did remove the items you asked to be removed. I also removed all unreferenced text within the article, as well as the advert maintenance template. The article as it stands only has three references, and they're all to the company, which is a very poor state to be in. If better references aren't found I'm afraid the article might find itself at WP:AFD. I would urge the COI editor to find additional references that come from reliable, third-party sources. A check of the New York Times didn't bring anything up so I understand that the road ahead is an uphill one. But sources must exist somewhere for anyone willing to take some time to search for them.
