US-centrism[edit]

The Land Acts are described as similar to US Homestead Acts, apparently on the assumption that readers are American. The assumption is false, the description is lazy, and the order is reversed. The first Land Acts were passed prior to the first Homestead Acts, thus if there is to be a description-by-comparison it is actually correct to say they that the US Homestead Acts were similar to the Australian Land Acts.
